Clause 1. Application for Membership 1. Foundries, or foundry related enterprises, research institutes, colleges of countries which have established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China, or those which have no diplomatic relationship but have already conducted non-governmental trade with the People's Republic of China, are entitled to apply for overseas membership of the China Foundry Association. The aforementioned foundries, or foundry related enterprises, research institutes, colleges, however, should fulfill the prerequisite of being officioI1y registered and legally certified in their own countries. 2. All app1icotions must be submitted in duplicate and accompanied by the appropriate membership fee. On approval of the Standing Committee of the Board of Directors of the China Foundry Association£¬ the applicant will be admitted as an overseas member of the China Foundry Association. 3. At the time of the application, the applicant enterprise or organization should nominate the person who will be the official representative. This person will liaise with the China Foundry Association and participate in those activities of the Association which are open to overseas members. 4. Overseas members may change their official representative whenever deemed necessary, but a written announcement should be sent to the China Foundry Association advising the name and position of the new representative. Clause 2. Rights of Overseas Members Overseas' members are entitled to the following£º 1. To obtain free publications for overseas members of the Association and to enjoy priority in publishing information in such publications at favorable conditions. 2. To obtain books or other journals published by the Association primarily for foreign readers, at favorable prices. 3. To obtain consulting or technical engineering services from the Association at favorable prices. 4. To submit proposals to the Association. 5. To participate in the China Foundry Association's open National Conferences. 6. To withdraw membership from the Association at any time. Clause 3. Obligations of Overseas Members 1. To actively undertake any vocational task entrusted to it by the Association, with the prior agreement of the member concerned. 2. To pay the annual membership fee by the due date. 3. To abide by the laws, regulations or policies of the Chinese government. Clause 4. Overseas Membership Fee 1. The annual overseas membership fee must be paid in U.S. dollars in cash or by bank transfer (T/T) and is payable on the tenth (10th) of January each year. 2. The overseas membership fee is: Clause 5. Cancellation of Membership Upon discovery of any intentional violation of item 3 in Clause 3 by an overseas member, its membership will be immediately cancelled. A written notice will be issued and the membership fee will not be refunded. |
