CALL FOR PAPERS

Brief introduction
CHINA FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION CONGRESS is the upgrade of NATIONAL CONGRESS OF FOUNDRY DIRECTORS and it has been held for seven times since 1994. CHINA FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION CONGRESS will be held every two years as usual, and will be enriched both in technology and commercial information. It will be not only a high-level forum for foundry directors worldwide to exchange the experience of production and management, to look into the trend of casting industry, but also an excellent platform for the commercial cooperation. CHINA FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION CONGRESS gets strong support from the government of China and more than 60 international organizations and mediums such as AMAFOND, CISA, VDMA, ICE, FESA, etc.; it will play an important function in figuring out foundry developments. The theme of the 8th CHINA FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION CONGRESS is "Constructing Environment Friendly Foundries". The congress will focus on the sustainable development for foundry industry and foundrymen will gather to exchange new technology and experience for improving foundry working condition of foundry. Participants are encouraged to present papers at the congress. Please submit your paper according to the congress scope. In all cases please avoid commercialism.

Congress Scope

The congress will cover all aspects of casting materials, processing, manufacturing, equipment environmental protection, and management experience.

  • Molding methods and molding materials
  • Iron and steel casting
  • Non-ferrous casting, gravity die casting, and high pressure die casting
  • Cast composites and surface treatment
  • Quality control in foundry
  • Heat transfer modeling and numeral simulation in foundry engineering
  • Environment control and management in foundry

Requirement as follows:

  • It should not be published in any Congress Proceedings and publication, within 6000 words (including words and chart)
  • Please provide the original photos or scan the photos
  • Please edit the abstract and paper with Microsoft Word and e-mail us by attachment or the pointed address
  • Please note the first editor's name, position, professional title, company, mail address, post code, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address
  • The deadline of paper submission: April 30, 2008. Please submit the abstract before March 31, 2008

Papers will be printed in the Congress Proceedings and some papers will be selected to be published in "Foundry Technology", "Foundry panorama", and/or on the official website of China Foundry Association. Paper presentation can be either in Chinese or English.
