¡°The 8th International Foundry, Forging and Industrial Furnace Exhibition¡± jointly sponsored by China Foundry Association, Industrial Furnace Institution Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, ¡°The 10th International Metallurgical Industry Expo¡± sponsored by China Iron & Steel Association and Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade solemnly held on Apr. 18 in China International Exhibition Center. The leaders, present at the opening ceremony, are Guo Shuyan (The Member of Standing Committee of National People¡¯s Congress, The Deputy Chairman of National Finance and Economy Committee, The Honorary President of China Foundry Association), Jia Chengbing (The Executive Vice President of China Machinery Industry United Society, The President of China Foundry Association), Wu Xichun (The Consultant of China Iron & Steel Association), Dong Songgen (The President of China International Exhibition Center Group), Deng Qilin (The Vice President of China Iron & Steel Association, The General Manager of Wu Han Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.), Lin Donglu (The Vice President of China Iron & Steel Association, The President of Bao Tou Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.), Mr. Galante (The President of CEMAFON), Mr. Ledoux (The Representative of EUnited Metallurgy), Dr. Habig (The Secretary-general of CEMAFON and CECOF), Mr. Hayes (The President of CISA), Mr. Carmagnini (The President of AMAFOND), etc. The Executive Vice President of China Machinery and Industry United Society, The President of China Foundry Association Jia Chengbing delivered the opening speech.

This exhibition received the great support and cooperation from Chinese government, assistances, domestic and overseas manufacturers of foundry, forging, industrial furnace, metallurgy, relevant material, equipment and the relevant media, as well as more than 60 domestic and overseas authoritative organizations, such as AMAFOND, CFCOF, CISA, VDMA, ICE, ASSOFOND, FESA, etc. This international foundry, forging and industrial furnace exhibition was the largest one in Asia and second largest worldwide after the D¨¹sseldorf Foundry Exhibition in Germany

Besides the exhibitors from mainland China, there were more than one thousand exhibitors from Taiwan and Hong Kong and other 24 countries and regions such as Austria, Australia, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, UK, USA and White Russia, etc. The show covered 36,000 sqm, including more than 300 domestic foundry enterprises, 200 metallurgical enterprises, one hundred of industrial furnace manufacturers, and 300 overseas enterprises. The area of overseas exhibitors covered about 40%. The above mentioned indicated the overseas manufacturers¡¯ confidence for the Chinese market and the enormous fascination of Chinese market. More than 30,000 professional visitors were present during the exhibition. All of the exhibitors brought their current advanced equipments, technologies, and high-quality products in the foundry, forging and industrial furnace fields, which is the highlight of this years¡¯ exhibition.

The domestic and overseas famous enterprises took part in the exhibition with big booth. These enterprises include DISA GROUP, Dipl. Ing. Laempe GmbH, Korea Sinto Co., Ltd., Inductotherm Group, Hunter Automated Machinery Ltd., I.M.F, Tianjin Huntere, Wuxi City Xinan Zhuzao Co., Ltd., JINAN FOUNDRY & METALFORMING MACHINERY RESEARCH INSTITUTE, L.K Technology Group Shanghai Atech Machinery Co., Ltd., BAODING WELL FOUNDRY MACHINERY CO., LTD., Suzhou Foundry Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., Suzhou Mingzhi Technology Co., Ltd., EIRICH-FME Machinery (JiangYin) Co., Ltd., JINAN SHENGQUAN SHARE-HOLDING CO., LTD., Suzhou Xingye Foundry Material Co., Ltd., Shenyang Machine Tool Yinfeng Foundry Co., Ltd., KOCEL GROUP CO., LTD., TIANJIN SANDA CASTING CO., LTD., Dalian Machine Tool Group Foundry Co., Ltd., and the group of Botou Foundry.

More than 80 sets of large foundry equipment, instruments and about one thousand of various types of casting were displayed. The exhibits of overseas companies mainly represented the current advanced level in the heat processing market all over the world. Meanwhile, the exhibits of our own were also heading for mature ness. The precision, appearance quality of exhibits nearly reached or even had already reached the international high level.

During the exhibition the new member of leadership of China Foundry Association interchanged opinions, concerning how to make the international foundry, forging and industrial furnace exhibition better, with the leading official of relevant associations coming from Europe, Germany, Italy, USA, etc. The overseas exhibitors were satisfied with the organizing work and the services during the fair, spoke highly of which is the biggest international foundry, forging and industrial furnace exhibition held in Asia. They also believed that China Foundry Association would make the show better in the future. China Foundry Association also did the survey to the domestic exhibitors, and finally received 177 questionnaires. It is showed that the general percentage of 99% relatively satisfied with the exhibition, 90% did with the professional visitors, 97% did with the service. It was tremendously better comparing with the previous ones.

This exhibition was reported continuously by domestic and overseas professional media, which included the overseas media such as <HEAT PROCESSING>, <Casting Metal and Diecasting Times Magazine>, <Industrial Heating>, <Steel Times International>, <MPT>, <Metal Network Korea>, etc. and the domestic media as <Foundry Technology>, <FOUNDRY>, <Foundry Today>, <Foundry Equipment & Technology>, <Non-Ferrous and Special Foundry>, etc.

Therefore, Metal China not only is the most authority foundry activity, but also become a great event of foundry industry worldwide, which is attracted more and more attention by foundry men all over the world.

In recent years, the China¡¯s entire industry developed rapidly, especially for the foundry industry in the mainland, which has become the focus in the global foundry market. The output of casting of China has ranked the top one all over the world. Moreover, the Im & Ex Trade of our casting grows rapidly. This exhibition invited the overseas manufacturers in order to learn the overseas experience, enhance the international exchange, foster the international market, and improve the economical trade exchange. It offered a golden chance and platform of cooperation and exchange between China and other countries.
