The No. 2 Machinery General Works is an extra large integrated complex, under the administration of China Arms and Munitions Corporation. Under the General works are set up 12 specialized manufacturing divisions, among which the foundry and cast steel divisions produce steel, iron, aluminum and copper alloy castings as well as diecastings, precision castings and centrifugal castings.

Grey iron castings up to 10t, spheroidal graphite iron castings up to 1t, steel castings up to 5t, precision castings up to 15kg, aluminum die castings up to 8kg, can be produced.

Having been furnished with cast steel refining technique and facilities, the cast steel division is capable of producing all sorts of alloy steel castings of high purity and high performance, including tool and die steel castings.
