China Foundry Association has been appraised as 4A state-level association during the national appraisal of industry association sponsored by Ministry of Civil Affairs. On May 4th, 2009, the appraisal result is officially published in the website of Civil Organizations¡¯ Administration Bureau of Ministry of Civil Affairs (http://mjj.mca.gov.cn).
The evaluation program has been launched on August, 2008. It strictly based upon the comprehensive evaluation mechanism and principles of social organization, which always calls for governmental guidance, social participation and an independent operation. The program has attracted either experts from various intermediary agencies, such as research institution, law offices and accounting firms, or president of industry association and chamber of commerce. As team members of evaluating panel, these experts and presidents made a most comprehensive evaluation on the four aspects of registered industry associations and chamber of commerce, namely, basic conditions, internal governance, work performance and social evaluation. Initially evaluated by the panel of experts for industry association and chamber of commerce, afterwards assessed by the professional evaluation committee, 85 associations have been granted the honorable title as 3A state-level or above industry and trade association.
